Wierd pops when changing tracks?

Thread Starter
I've noticed a weird popping sound when I switch tracks on my pc. It happens on my on board, audigy 2 and USB headset. It doesn't always happen, nor is the loudness of the sound always the same. Does anyone have an idea what it could be? and should I be worried?

Have you tried a different media player? It might be down to the software.

I never really noticed anthing in VLC, but I use that to mostly watch shows. I'll have to test this out when I get home with foobar or VLC.

Both VLC and Foobar do this too. Talked with a friend that does electrical work and he said it might be a grounding issue. Hes gonna lend me a tool to check the outlets in the house.

Classic creative driver issues. There may be a better set of drivers out there for you.A lot of modified drivers exist for creative.

I've had this card for years. I dont remember it doing this when I had my DFI 790fx-m2rs. I started to notice it when I got the Crosshair IV.
