Battlefield 3 GPU - Page 11

I'd make an educated guess that 6950 2 GB will be the baseline requisite for 1080p maximum details. Eyefinity, similarly, maximum detail would likely be met with a second in crossfire. For multiple monitor usage, be sure to go with the 2 GB variants of either 6900 or 560 TI cards.

On a single 1920x1080p monitor having more VRM dosen't improve FPS. I highly doubt it'll take a 2GB card on a single monitor to max it out. What make the difference is the GPU processing power.

BF3 "Fault Line" was played on one GTX 580 1.5GB card when it was released.

You are very right about multiple monitors anything less than 2GB is a hinderance.

I wouldn't recommend the 590 seeing how the actual performance is less then that of a 470 as dictated here

but then again I don't own the card(s) so I can't be sure on that, but in price comparison I would go with the 580.

Currently BFBC2 at max settings is running constant 60+ FPS on 5970 with 5040x1050 resolutions, perhaps 5970+5850 tri-fire would do it for BF3?
How do you have that resolution???

I only have 5760x1080 and 6026x1080

fps shooters You don't play high settings, I max out my fps with 5040x1050 at low settings with 6850/6870 so depends on your own priorities.
I don't think I will have any problem running Bf3 with current rig, as I run Bc2 at 100fps or so currently.
