I play BFBC2 max minus HBOA and AA on, with my little monster 5770. Lets hope this cuts it for BF 3 smile.gif

Bf games seem to tend to favor nvidia cards

It's already been said a single 580 won't max out AA

Get a 6990 or 2x6970s. They will beat the 580 for barely more, and will max out AA which the 580 can't.

LOL, 590s suck. 6990>590 and it's a fact unless folding.

@blostorm:
The 6970 scales better, performs better in most cases, and costs the same.

I had an ATI (AMD now) card once..only had problem.

I also had problems with my 5870m (Asus G73), but 11.x fixed them (Updating everyday is kind of annoying ).

You shouldn't be asking about BF3 performance questions yet. Some say that the Frostbite 2 is going to be a nicely optimized engine, but who knows. I'm sure my 460 will be able to play it high/max settings but then again, who knows?

You do realize that the 580 is much closer to the 6950 than the GTX 590 right?

If you get like 20 FPS on a HD6950 you sure as hell won't get 30 or 40 on a 580.

They posted the recommended requirements somewhere. They said you need a GTX 460/HD6850 so anything above that should be alright.
