Battlefield 3 GPU - Page 6

I'm kind of worried myself. I hope there's good crossfire support out of the gate, and I can OC if I have to. My cpu may also be in trouble, but I'm waiting until Bulldozer/Ivy Bridge prove their worth before I order a new mobo/cpu.

Did I say, somewhere, that 5xx > 69xx ? I just had problems with AMD cards previously, so I would rather have my money on a slower card that I'm sure will work for my needs.

Thanks for being so... What ever. Also, stop PMs..It's annoying reading a kid being mad and acting like a fanboy.

I even recommended a 6990 to a friend..I'm a fanboy for sure man.

A decent benchmark would be Battlefield Bad Company 2....32 Player match. BF3 will use the same engine, just evolved some.

lol so go petition a video card mfg to send you a card for review, since you're the only objective reviewer

It's funny, last time I went through anandtech (about when the 6950s were coming out) I thought it was an Nvidia fanboy club. To each their own I suppose. I'm just very very happy having 6950s for ~$230 that perform on par with 6970s (or better) which perform on par with GTX 570s, except my 6950s scale better (not that I need it right now, but it gives me plenty of headroom for crossfire and newer games).

Now, I'm crazy for spending the $$$ to watercool them, but whatever, I've got blistering performance WITH SILENCE for still spending less than 2 570s

I'm clearly not saying they are bad.

I just had trouble with my past AMD cards ... and reviewing is something I'm aiming .. I love to benchmark my own things..Not check someone's graphs.

Did they release specific requirements and I missed it? or is this another huge speculation thread?

I think they recommended GTX 460 / 6850 (?).

I agree, Anandtech are pretty unbiased and just like performance a lot.

Well, don't call someone elses reviews "fanboyism" when you've never had a 6950/70.
