Ahhhh that was such a headache. Because of that I stopped playing the PC version for a week until it got fixed. Rocked out the 360 version with some buddies until the PC version got fixed.
It seems to me that PC dedicated games are looked down upon by developers nowadays since there is a much smaller population of us. I still enjoy console gaming, but its not nearly as immersive to me. Most big name companies will not want to make a PC only game simply because it costs more money for less profit. Very few companies have stayed true to the PC (Blizzard for example...except for Diablo for the PS1 and Starcraft for the N64, they were a little bi-curious at the time). But since they pump out quality games, they are one of the most recognized companies in the world.
If only developers and publishers cared more about quality and customer satisfaction, they would make more money in the long run. I know it takes a lot of hard work to make a video game, but I think companies would benefit in the long run by no longer making ports. If we had dedicated console exclusives, developers could consentrate on their one platform (save sports games, they are all kinda "meh" anyways lol). Imagine how much better quality the CoD and BF franchise would be.
Franchises like Killzone, Gears of War, Mario Bros, God of War, Halo, Uncharted, Diablo, Everquest, Zelda, etc are all massive hits. And they are all exclusive to their platform. If someone wants to play a game exclusive to a console, they will buy it, plain and simple. If they don't have the money, they will save for it and then buy it (I did lol).
