I lol'd so hard. 20ms vs 24ms? You won't notice it. Unless you actually believe the manufacturer specs of course. Do you think monitors really have 10000000:1 contrast ratios?

I would listen to the first two replies who gave informative information instead of this guy who seems to talk down on "cheap and crappy" monitors.
6 bit IPS is still better than 6 bit TN. Besides, what IPS monitors are 6 bit?

If you get a TN just below the price level of an IPS you won't be disappointed.
Lol that is some of the most immense BS I've ever heard. Also sigging for immense fail.
Here's my laptop and this is a true and true crappy TN panel with a glossy screen.
I've played CSS both competetively and for fun, for years, and was infact on the CSS modding scene fpsbanana (now gamebanana) for a long time, I've seen the textures up close, they do infact have specks of green on them. It's because of the generally poorly made lighting system that source has that sometimes the textures mess up like that.
Also office is for noobs.
I badly want to sig this for the fail.

24-bit is 16 777 216 colors. Your point? IPS is truly better/at parity with a TN panel in nearly every spec. The only time to buy a TN is if you are on a budget, or you are one of those people that can tell the difference between 60hz and 120hz, and you buy a 120hz monitor.
