GPU: VTX3D Radeon HD6950 1GB
RAM: G.Skill F3-10600CL9D-8GBNT (2x4GB) DDR3
HDD: Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB HD103SJ
DVD: Lite-On IHAS124 24X DVDRW OEM
Case: CoolerMaster CM Storm Scout
PSU: Silverstone Strider Plus 600W ST60F-P
Extra Case Fans: CoolerMaster 120mm Silent Red LED Fan (x2)

Total: $938

What do you guys think of my build? I only have a budget of $1000.

might want to change mb to am3+ so you'll be better set for future upgrades. Also are you going to be overclocking cpu? If so you'll need a cooler....hyper212+ least expensive best performer. Other than that looks like it'll work just fine
you could use 2 of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136865 in raid0 for much better hd performance.
shop around for psu abit, I think you could find a better price with same features. Everywhere I found wanted $100 for it

... or you can get the exact same system, but with a lovely Sandy Bridge 2500k setup for only $929.

Much faster, modern and cooler.

Build opinion/request threads like these build in "AMD General", not build logs
On this kind of high end build with 1090T and 6950, the choice of generic 1333 CL9 RAM may bottleneck your performance by lacking potential bandwidth. Invest more in the RAM; get this DDR3-1600 CL9 kit or better yet this DDR3-1600 CL8 kit.

I'd get the 955 instead and sell it when BD comesout
And i'd get better RAM like CL7 ripjaws
