[TT] Llano APU smashed new IGP world records with Gigabyte A75M-UD2H - Page 5

lol, world record for IGP performance. I am going to break the world record for fastest man powered tricycle.

Llano APU - Its pretty fast when you overclock it. Not REALLY fast... like don't throw away your dedicated GPU or anything. But its like a million times faster then intels IGP.

According to your link in stock configuration his 3D Mark06 is better than GT 220 or HD5570. OC he is better than 9600 GT and 5670
Pretty good for the A* but personally I think that the A6 would be better seller since it is around $100.

That is why I want to know how it performs. I am guessing a slightly 5550 below performance but can play most games at 1024x768 at mid-high settings

I think ideally they made this chip for 2 markets really...

1) Notebooks Primarily
2) & HTPC Computers

Obviously in a Full ATX or mATX case there will be better choices, like the i5-2500k & a dedicated Video Card..

But I must say, this gives me new appreciation as to why AMD was holding out all the info, though many of us tech suspected AMD had a real winner in this chip!

I knew this was going to be the big chip for them, in fact, I predicted on OCN that AMD would be dominating the Mobile Market with Llano, clearly they have the winner in this chip, and did you see that RAM OC! Man, that's insane! This APU pretty much owns Intel, seriously, and I cannot wait to see prices! (Sorry haven't been researching leaks)

I don't know how long a good battery will last on this chip, so we really gotta wait to see just how good their engineering is here, for to really win the whole shebang, they have got to have long lasting battery life too.

Obviously Jeff @ AMD wasn't pulling our leg about them wanting to beat Intel in the 3 Major Points.... I think this is probably a great indicator of what Bulldozer will be for us when it does finally get released... (August?)

I'm pleased, very much so, now I can go out buy my first Laptop when Llano does hit the shelves!
(28 Years in computers and I have never owned a mobile computer other than a normal cell phone!)

It's also ideal for 90% of PC sales, which are not custom builds. Something the average joe will buy at Best Buy or a company will buy a bunch of PCs in bulk that are just "good enough".

AMD 32nm may take voltage better than Intel 32nm, that is true of AMD 45nm at least.

But I'd be surprised if it'd work long at that voltage.

On chip performance is getting so good, pretty soon there will be no need for motherboard with on board video at all. Or HTPC's with vbideocards.

You forgot about price.

If rumors are correct(Hey the rumored specs were correct so why not the price)

This would be around $150 which is quite higher than Athlon II x4 BUT would be cheaper if you add the 9400.

I really want other reviews for A6 and A4
