Go quad or stay duo - Page 3

I assume you are talking about LGA775 socket. Well, if you really want quad that bad, go for Intel i5 2500k. Don't go for quad 775socket it makes little baby's cry.

C2Q 45nm are really good, specially for the price.

Tom's was using old hardware and they are also biased as hell. 2 6990s do better than 2x590s by a longshot now, and can OVERCLOCK unlike the 590s.

I don't think you offended anyone ~.~ Maybe just shocked some people, as whoever told you that probably doesn't know what they are talking about. The i5 series being good overclockers is old news now afterall.

Much much smaller? Umm, the 6990 is 12 inches, and the 590 is like 11 inches. Also, the 590 is better? How? It has less FPS in almost all games, scales worse when in SLI/CF, and it also blows up and can't overclock at all. Don't give out false info, specially if you don't know at all.

compairing these numbers to other reviews, sorry but you have gotten bad information as the review is incomplete, they tested against heavy nvidia based games and benchmark software are just crap. they did not test agains games that are equally balanced. They didn't even give the driver information that they used.
why on earth would you test a dual gpu card on 1680x1050 anyway, there is no reason to do this.
i think you need to find another source.
