HD 4890 CF or HD 6950 2GB - Page 2

New card. Even though its cheaper probably to pick up another 4890 and go CFX. If you upgrade now and buy a card then in the future you can always get another 6950 run them in CFX then. Plus a 6950 beats 4890's in CFX. I wouldn't say by a ton but it does beat them. Just IMO go with a 6950 reference for a 6970 unlock with the shaders smile.gif

Sapphire first pick because I like them, customer support is really amazing. And there all around good cards. If you can find a Asus one I would put it over Diamond but any 3 I have just said are really good cards! Good luck!

*Edit* You'll be fine for a PSU right now. Just CFX will be pushing it, a 850 will get 2 of them bad boys perfect. So it wouldn't have to be a 1000W or anything

Upgrade to 6950 because 4890 is DirectX 10 and 6950 is DirectX 11. The 6950 will support newer games while the 4890 in Crossfire can't.

On a StealthXStream??? HAHAHA NO

my 700 watt StealthXStream could not handle my 6950 and 1090t overclocked......

its a joke of a PSU most of the time.
