Need suggestions for a cooler for a Vulcan.

Thread Starter
I'm getting a 2500k cpu and mounting it on either a MSI, Gigabyte or Asus motherboard. Plan is to get a NZXT Vulcan.
I don't want to modify the case other than maybe removing the drive cage and or the large side fan.
I expect to only do mild overclocking.
So what is the best/largest HSF that will fit without blocking the RAM and will cool the NB etc..
Or am I better off with one of the Corsair self contained units?
Thanks for any help.

Are you referring at Nzxt Vulcan, a small case? I'm little confused, little more info would be helpful.
If it is Nzxt Vulcan, go for Corsair H50/60/70 or even wait for 80!
Nzxt Vulcan is nice little looking case and it should provide good airflow and it's easily portable. I think you will have lots of fun with it!
Forgot to add, if you want good cmf/low noise fans, even for corsair push/pull go for Gentle Typhoons 1850 rpm, 29DBa.

Sorry. Yes, I'm referring to the NZXT Vulcan. I've read a bunch of pro's and con's about cpu cooling and heat with the NB that I'm not sure which way to go.
Thanks.

If you want good airflow fans, with a 35 dba, check Scythe S-FLEX, I heard only good things about it for Corsair push/pull. They got great airflow, I'm getting 4 of those myself.

Oh and about north bridge, I think they can survive high 100C's but problem is as you said, they are producing big heat, well if you got good air flowed case it won't be a problem, and Nzxt Vulcan is GREAT air flow little case!

Thanks for the suggestion. But 35 dba is kinda loud.
Gotta keep looking. Have a good weekend.

You can check out the Noctua NH-C14, it would probably work pretty well in a vulcan considering the side panel is all mesh.
