Danger Den Blocks / Customer Support

Thread Starter
I was going to inspect and post pics of my 3 EK 6970 Nickel blocks yesterday, however I ran into a snag.

I went with Danger Den V2 blocks. I received 1 a week and a half ago and the other two arrived yesterday. They look great, however there was a mistake on 1 of the two blocks in the second shipment. It was designed slightly differently.

I took pics and called and was immediately connected to Kathi. (The Eng. I had been in contact with previously, Dan, was out of the office). She had me email the pics while on the phone with her. She took my number and said she would call back once she spoke to one of the CNC / Design guys. She called me back in maybe 15-20 minutes and said there was a mistake and they must have accidentally sent an earlier programmed / revised block. She said a new one was being package and shipped out ASAP (no cost to me of course).

She also said she would include a shipping return label for me to send back the block (at NO cost to me - as it SHOULD be).

In addition - I asked her about one of the assembly screws on the block (it looked like it was very slightly rounded). I told her I wanted to send her a pic just in case there was any issue and that I didnt want Danger Den to think I had disassembled the block (they have those "warranty void if removed") stickers. She immediately said not to worry and that I was free to disassemble the block to look at it and they would absolutely honor the warranty regardless if I had opened it or not!

Finally - later that evening, I actually received another phone call from Dan. He was off that day, but had been checking his voicemail/email and actually called me from his home to see what the issue was and to let me know he would be addressing it ASAP! The next morning, he followed up and went ahead and send me internal pics of the blocks and got me a tracking number for the replacement block.

Cannot say enough about DD. This is what good customer service is about.

BTW - as soon as the other block comes in, I will post pics of those as well as the EK.

Dan is awesome at DD. How many times have you heard the owner get involved with customer service?

Quite often in smaller companies...Danger Den isn't large by any means. Though I certainly hope they get their fair share of business. I know they see my credit number more than Lulzsec does (hopefully).

DD is mostly distribution, with some products.

I don't know ofcorse, but I have a feeling that they are the largest supplier for water cooling parts...however, they are sharing a very small market with several other manufactures. I suppose they might get a custom job just for setting up some extreme cooling system for a server room every now and then though.

No matter what I sure wouldn't turn down a job offer from them. They sell more than just Water Cooling parts as well, but judging from the last time I was on their site I don't think it is a lot.

yeah, but they used to be the sole thermochill provider, as well as other things until all these companies went public on the stateside.

They are a very large distributor.

If your talking soley LC...

Magicool - sorry no one is bigger them them. They did a lot of OEM's for the smaller companies.
Koolance - Might be close to magicool, but i feel magicool has more Vol.
Swiftech - Would follow here...
Bitspower - they exploded...

Then you got the other smaller companies like EK, and Aqua Computers.

Koolance performs better then DD.
Micro channels @ die cooling area and direct water to VRMS.

There is only a few vendors who can beat a koolance gpu block, and one of them failed horribly on nickle plating.

If you need a bridge.. a blingy bridge.. try aqua computers.
