i5 2500k was doing better in gaming which is what I needed it mainly for~ I also got it for $169 at Fry's~ x3 <3

Im going with the 2600K mostly because i will burn it up with virtualized operating systems. Heavy Music processing and god knows what else i can find. i assure you that I will find a way to max out most of the cores on it. and HT. is always a bonous
