Hey, I just thought we might have some ideas on the short cable. If you break another one, you could use 3M 2 sided sticky pads/tape.

Jerry, do you have any paint left? How do you think your case would look if you painted the black plastic on the 2 side panels in the HD bay only?

I with ya on the 3m Double sided tape, it holds up pretty well and is removable.

The side panels, interesting Idea. It would look cool on the side but where it wraps to the front I think it would be too much green in the front.

I have a long term plan for a paint scheme matching ken Block's race car but it's gonna be a while till I decide to tackle that.

Watercooling is next month, That's gonna be enough of a project for me. biggrin.gif

Now I look at it with my Motherboard the top usb/ps2 plug on top of the case is not gonna let me mount the Radiator on top inside the case unless I flip the board and mod the case. Mounting on a side door would make it a huge pain to open them. Then the last option is putting it on one of the front side doors. I could take this back but I really want the double radiator.

You are where I was like 2 weeks ago. The H100 does not play well with the air. Unless you want to modify the case, you're going to have a hell of a time placing it without extending the tubes and replacing them.
I did a lot of research and it just doesnt work.

I'll let you in on my set up.

Antec 920 is a big fat 120 push pull rad setup.. I OC a 2600K to 4.4Ghz and average 72C cranking out prime 95. I highly reccomend this radiator for the air... the H100 just doesn't cut it.

The cable management could have been better but this isn't a modular supply (yeah I skimped) and there are so many damn case fans to hitch up. I have no issue running stuff behind but the case fans throw me off.

Question for you guys.

As you can see I have 2 triple slot cards, crossfired.
Because of that, the top doesn't have as much room to breath around the fan as the bottom.

Should I be using the bottom one then for the display card?

They're both running in 8x mode, so I'd say go for it. With that said, I also don't recall there being actual performance difference simply because of heat, so it's inconsequential which card you use as long as it doesn't outright overheat or hit dangerous temperatures.

And also, you can possibly flex a small extra tidbit of space between them using a piece of foam.

I'm looking at the AMD Overdrive in Catalyst during benchmarks and it feels like that card I am plugged into is doing 90% of the work (it shows as activity on the monitor) and getting considerably hotter than the other one, which activity doesn't really go past 1-3%.

However the bottom one is noteably cooler even when I run off it.. but because I first booted from the top card the bios screen doesnt show up unless I it plugged in from the top.

Is it possible that no matter what the top one is doing the bulk of the load and that's why its considerably hotter?

Im not super familiar with crossfire and never had a system that had it. I thought things between the cards would be more equal. Equal temps and loads etc. Maybe I'll just keep using the bottom one because it breathes better even though the top is still getting hot.

Both fans are annoying when spun up high, not even the noise but it sounds like something are hitting them and there is nothing in the way.

Crossfire and SLI aren't exactly reknown for logical work distribution, in part due to metric ****tons of problems involved with drivers.

But again, see if you can wiggle some breathing space in between the cards. Foam piece usually does the trick.
