because i paint it blue and it will look good, because plastic is cheap and break easily. and i want to try to make a beautifull case from the outside not a f veranda made just to show my colored tubing and my sleeved cables. every case are grey black or white with a damn plexi panel across the side (actually if i want to do that i just have to change the pannel for clear acrylic and i have full windows) and i m tired of these. i think all case manufacturer go straigh for the epeen , look at my hardware in the big phat window mode and have no creativity.

another point is that it s half the price of aluminium and even cheaper then good acryllic while being more rigid for the same thickness , if my sheet is thinner i can work it twice as easy.

Hey all. Found this thread while searching the internets, created an account here to join in. I've had my lanboy air for a little over a year now, and I am planning on modding it. I wanted to replace the mesh on the side panels with either acrylic or metal, and I'm not really sure where to start. I don't have access to power tools to cut anything out unless I travel home and use my dad's shop. Any tips? I'm sure this has been mentioned at some point but I don't have the attention span to read through 287 pages thumb.gif

dont replace it with metal as it looks ugly on this case... as for tools, you dont really need many... plexiglass is what alot of us do and from there, let your mind wander and try do something that hasnt been thought of before

Thinking abou making the front with only normal drive bays, i think it will look a lot better than with the fan mounts :~

Question guys,

I have corsair h50 liquid cool fan. I don't like the original fan that comes with it. I'm thinking about putting the blue led fan on the liquid cool heatsink. Would that work because the blue led has 3 switches for the fan speed, low, medium and high. Wouldn't that confuse the motherboard automatic temperature?
