yea definately get impatient but thats part of the fun lol btw love the way you put the res at the bottom much more visible. well i finally got around to doing something with the dvd rom. Went with a ultra cover 2x white primer, then ultra gloss black, then ultra gloss apple red, then black, then red lol & a gloss enamel protective coat.(very thin coats) but i think it was worth it. i was a bit skeptical at first but in the end i had to try, i just couldnt live with the plain dull aluminum?? color since its visible & i even got lucky that it matches the red on the lanboy....stop me if im crazy but now all i can see is dismantiling my storage drive since its vertical( you can see it completely) & painting the top portion the same way.......ahahah

That red optical looks great! I'd be too worried about matching my blue perfectly, and would probably do red for the contrast. I might just do that since as you said the dull grey is ugly.

I would NOT paint the HDD, paint will insulate it, and even a 7,200 drive will get hot, the 10K or 15K will overheat without plenty of cooling.Could you mount it on the bottom where Antec intended the SSDs to go?

I was considering doing eyefinity, but I'd need a 3rd monitor, I'm not sure I have room for three 24s, and those Dell UltraSharps are not cheap. With two monitors the gap in between would be the focal point (cross-hairs) and that would be pretty fail.

Yeah im really happy with the results, you should definately do the blue. home depot has the rustoleum gloss blue its like 2x so apply the coats lightly (1 coat white primer) & black gloss in case the colors too light. i originally did primer,1 coat black,1coat red . but it was too light so i added more black then red to get it darker. take your time it will come out perfect.

Yeah I need a 3rd monitor myself, I use a second monitor mostly for photoshop work. If I had a 3rd one it would help with gaming. Right now i just one monitor for what few games i play or just my 40 inch tv depending on how i feel.

update! Didn't film inside coz I'm still gonna sleeve 24 pin and fix wiring for HDD/SSD and will try to hide them for cleaner look.

Just tape off the sides of the HD and paint the top. It will not change temps at all. Lutro0 has painted a few drives. You do not need to take it a part.
