According to Moores law.. how small can processors get with current silicon chips?

how small can they get, and how many transistors can we fit in before we have to move on to a whole different type of manufacturing process? i.e Not silicon based chips

EDIT: or to rephrase the question... how long before such predictable progression is halted? i mean it can't go on doubling forever... can it?
