Quite the opposite. Which is why this thread exists. Developers don't want to develop for Android because they won't make any money. Android is filled with tons of poorly made apps(mostly free) where as the App Store has fewer but higher quality apps for each genre on average. I have both an iPhone and a Droid X and I can definitely say that the Android market might have more apps but the iPhone's apps kill ours! We have a bunch of lame apps and only a few good ones.
Wait, what? My friend using an iPod and an SGS has said himself that "Androids apps tend to be far cheaper and equal or better than iOS' are", and going from what I've seen on others iPhones it's true.
Android had a worse app store in 2008, definitely...In 2009 it was comparable but now it's easily victory to Android, apart from the facebook app. (Which, mind you, I haven't used since October, so it may be updated)
And if lack of money was a reason to not develop for something, why is Linux around? Open Source is the future for the world.
