GTX 560 TI good card for 1920x1200 - Page 2

Wait what GPU problem and BC2?
Just got one and play at same rez. Everything maxed out with AA at 32 and AF at 16 the fps will dip into the low 40's in BC2. I think it's a good card for it's price at the moment. You won't be able to max most new games out, but should do well with aa and af you posted.

If it is for your sig, stick with the 6950 though.

No, the 1gig vRAM will limit your AF settings. This is coming from an SLi Gtx 560 ti owner. I play Metro 2033 really nicely aslong as AF is moderate not maxed out. IF your not interested in eye candy much then by all means they scale really nice! Once again only *limit* is *vRAM.*

EDIT: At 1920X1080 it does roughly good, but once you start cranking up your AF in Heavy tessellated dx11 games. It gets chewed up, Even under SLI since it technically will only use 1024 when both cards in SLI.

stay at about 90 FPS almost never drops. might be able to raise graphics a bit if you are okay with less fps

this is BFBC2, COD Black OPS, Medal of honor, Assassin's creed brotherhood, and more.

Ahh.. your not going to be getting 90fps in BC2 with a 560ti, maybe if your settings were on low.

When I still have my 560Ti@965/4700 paired with an i5 750@4ghz, the only games that ran not as smooth are GTAIV with loads of mods and Metro2033, but still very playable at 1200p.

I'm not having any problems running any of my games with my 560 Ti running at 1600x1200 90fps. Need to upgrade my monitors to see if I can get more out of it.

Speed isn't the problem, it's the vram. 1gb of memory isn't what it used to be, and some current games when maxed out or close to maxed out consume more than 1gb of vram at that resolution.

@OP, I would say it is a good card for 1920x1200 only if you don't like your eye candy turned up to decently high levels. If you can do without AA, then you shouldn't have any issues. If you enjoy AA, get yourself a gtx 470 or gtx 570.

Not at the settings I quoted from the OP. What games are choking 1GB cards with only 2-4xAA at 1200p?

I can give you a nice list from my Steam Library.

Metro 2033
Dirt 3
Crysis
Crysis Warhead
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Assasins Creed 2
Grand Theft Auto IV
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

So far that's all i've played with these SLi GTX 560 Ti's. I'm betting the list will get bigger as I try all the rest of the games in my library. *1GB vRAM* is not for eye candy.

EDIT:I have to agree with you maybe not on 2-4xAA, but he did mention 16XAA, and i'm assuming when someone likes to set AF at that level. They're enthusiastic in eye candy.

Actually I usually like 16x AF and about 2-4x AA. Well I got the card, an evga gtx 560 ti. I played BC2 last night with the settings above for about 2 1/2 hours. I used FRAPS and I also use vsync. I was getting a constant 60 fps with dips into the high 40's low 50's when their was several explosions on the screen. I also set the fan speed to 30%, which kept the card very quiet. When I left the game my load temp was about 66 which I suppose isn't too bad.
