(WC Beginner) A good cooling solution for the following: - Page 2

The Apogee XT rev.2 remains the best Waterblock for cooling and beats the XSPC Raza handly. The silver and black would flow with your color scheme nicely...... I would get a Thermalchill TA 120.3 or 120.4.

AC kryos with a moded oring wins.

After that its the koolance 370.

The koolance 370 has an easier mounting system, and comes with all the backplates you would ever need. AM2 / 1155 / 1366.

Trust me you wont miss the temp difference between the top5.
Go with what looks the best in your honest opinion.
Dont go with what performs the best as long as its in the top 5.

Looks like the Koolance CPU-3xx waterblocks are better overall depending on thermal compound.

Res: Any res will work as long as it doesnt have wetted alu... meaning.. alu touches water. face plate being alu is fine as long as there is something separating it.
Good Suggestions!!
My question for you, do you want quiet or ?
Since this will be your first WC build, with fittings get all regular barbs, most if not all pieces will come with barbs*make sure you check in the drop down menu before adding to cart.
For good all around fans but are quite costly would be some AP-15's, for cheaper get yate loons mediums or high speeds will be perfect*I run high speed yate loons with no fan controller sound is tolerable.

This is gonna be a monster build man.. Good Luck and most of all HAVE FUN!!

my name is spam'd with koolance... so i am trying to hold off recommending them on this forum.

But in all honesty, koolance is now one of the better companies you can deal with.

They dont expect the customer to fix any of their oops at the customer's expense.

The perfect example is how they did the 360 and the RX series Bay res.
The 360 when first introduced had mounting problems on some boards.
They had to shave the base down, but offered free base replacements to owners with the 360, so compatibility would be perfect.

Now the Bay res.... as u guys know, the bay res was riddled with bleeding problems. Koolance worked hard at making a fix, and offered the fix free to all who own the bay res.

They dont make u pay for any of their goof ups and they are quick to say OOPS we didnt see this happening, and we are terribly sorry, we will fix it and offer a free fix right away.

which in turn we go awesome.. it was a problem, but the free fix makes it up for it!

As long as there's good reason for recommending Koolance, there's no problem with doing it. I wouldn't recommend Danger Den blocks, though, for CPU or GPU, they aren't designed well and overall are poor performers compared to the competition, especially for the price.

Could someone make me a list from performance-pcs as to what I need?

I know for a fact I am getting the red primoflex tubing.

And as far as fans, which one is better? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835106116

Or this? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...nermax%20magma

ummm neither...

if your really super sensitive to hearing.. and u hear every last ultra sonic tweak, then get a scythe s-flex. Or a Yate Loon even and run them downvolted.

If you dont have ultra sonic hearing... then get a scythe GT.
Scythe Gentle Typhoon.

And u should really be picking the parts out.
Thats what makes half of watercooling fun.
Make a list out yourself, and we'll tell you yes or no, and reasons on no.
And if your missing something we'll tell you that you are missing something.

But thats what makes LCing fun. Customization, and not trying to do assembly style builds.

I'd like to have red fans though, haha. Red and black is the theme for my whole system. (Even my room is red and black. ) And I'll go ahead and start making a list on performance-pcs and I'll post it on here for opinions.
