Best socket 771 processor/motherboard??

Ok so Im offically stumped on the xeon linup for socket 771 I was looking at this processor dual core hyperthreaded at 3.2ghz but after looking at some benchmarks the 5160 3ghz and 5200 series both with no HT seem to perform quite a bit better. Im just lost lol 4 cores 8 threads is worse than 4 cores 4 threads on the same socket and both 65nm process? I know newer cpus can be better but I would have though the HT would make up for it

*also how reliable is Passmark look up? there puttting the 5272 xeon just a hair worse than the i5 650 *

Im considering just getting one quad core and another later but the dual cores are so cheap! lol there like 20 bucks each if that and depending on the model seem to run with the C2D processors.

The reasion im looking is cuz I can get a good deal on a 771 server board and always wanted a dual socket board idk why just seems cool lol and these are dirt cheap systems to build like cpus/mobo under $100 cheap lol

This is the board Im looking at getting

Im open to any suggestions here on this build or if youve had personal experience with something and liked it let me know

A bump for those that might know better about these motherboards, but to address the issue of benchmarks favoring the CPU with fewer logical cores--HT doesn't always make things better. It's a trade-off situation, and sometimes it can drastically negatively affect performance.

Figured out the part about the weird benchmarks although there the same chipset the 5100 and 5200 series are C2D architecture where as the 5000 are pentium architecture. I could be wrong but that seems to be what Ive gathered
