Q9400 - first time overclocking

post #1 of 4
Thread Starter
Hey guys, this is my first attempt at overclocking. I've been doing a bit of research on my CPU (Intel 2 Quad Q9400) and people have been able to overclock to around 3.6GHz (Default is 2.6GHz)

I want to change the FSB speeds on my mainboard, but I need to find my "Clock Generator" so I can the SetFSB program. My mainboard is;

Mobo - ep31-ds3l
Chipset - P35/G33/G31
SouthBridge - 82801GB (1CH7/R)

My current FSB ( I think ) is set to;

100.2/200.4/ - /33MHz

The final outcome I want for my CPU speed is 3.2GHz.

Thanks for reading guys,

Hi can you not access you clocks thru your bios if not the best and easiest way is to open you case and look at the motherboard and your clock gen will be printed on a chip bios chip I am sure !!!!!!!!!
