I would almost put money on the memory. I had the same kinda issue for a while and change the memory out for something new and bam no more problems. Or it's the memory on one of your cards is going bad. I would run your rig for a couple of days with one card than the other. I would also make sure that your running the latest drivers for your MB.

It's an unstable OC on the GPUs, at least that;s what happened to me when I had the exact same symptoms as you.

Are you running MSI Afterburner (or any other hardware monitoring software?)

I have some issues with Afterburner - it freezes my system on some games or videos.

Common denominator seems to be it happens when you watch something. Even a flash video uses the graphics card. I think it's either the video card or your storage drives having a problem.

Run everything at stock, one video card and just use the hard drive on a fresh Windows install. Watch a movie or better yet use an app that can do some burn testing, especially video.

Im working on a fresh install of windows now, reinstalled twice with only basic software installed with no change.
Memtested all last night with no problems, all overclocked settings are off and returned to stock settings....aside from my ram, that needs an extra bump to work. Its a set of Corsair Dominator 2x2GB, it needs a voltage bump to get it to 1600Mhz.
Im running the lastest drivers for everything, my mobo drivers are old now but their the only ones that are up on the asus site.

RyanBob1234 please don't think i was being arsey with you, it could well be my psu letting go, i'm trying to stay positive coz i cant afford a new one....i live in the uk, nobody has any money and i get paid a pathetic sum of money to sell quite a large part of my soul on a daily basis!

What media player are you using? Try using a couple different ones the current one you are using might have some problem with your computer which may be causing it to crash.

Just because it costs a lot doesn't mean it's any good. I've read many positive reviews for products I didn't think were too special either. Really consider testing with another PSU if you can. Rig like yours doesn't need anything over a good 750w unit.
