The Cooler Master Storm Enforcer Club - Page 145

Well I went with the Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme. Figuring out how to get the 240 rad and fans mounted inside the case took a bit of figuring but I got it!!! No modding or crazy tilted sideways mounts either. Heading to kick it with my brother today but I'll take some pics when I get back in a couple days. I couldn't be happier with the temp differences...8-10 degree difference across all cores!!!! Pushing my current clock I couldn't get it to budge over 62 degrees with either the IBT or Prime95 tests and that was on silent settings thumb.gif The software included booted up like a charm and includes a custom setting which I'll have to play more with when I get back home. Looks like it's time to start dabbling in the 5GHz+ range biggrin.gif

As promised here's a few pics of the install of the Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme. I think it looks pretty clean.

You are correct sir the 24 pin is indeed an extension and the red tube is a cold cathode kit. I know what you mean about the top of the case being sturdy wink.gif. I was thinking about fabbing up a support system for it though. As for the heatsinks they came on the GPUs. They're MSI Cyclones and it's part of their design. Thanks for the feedback!

That looks super clean, nice work! The only exception being the rear fan on the outside. I can't tell how much space is there on the inside, but maybe a slim yate loon would fit? They are 20mm thick.
Also, I really want a PSU cover like yours. I'm guessing you had to make it. What did you do? Thanks.
Yeah I'm not such a fan....(geez terrible pun) of the rear mounted intake myself. I was looking around for something that would fit in there. The stock one almost fits inside. It's just a touch too thick so I'm sure the slim yate loon would fit. Found a few on Amazon which is perfect since I still have a gift card on there.
As for the PSU cover yeah I made that. It was super cheap and easy. 12" X 24" piece of sheet metal from Home Depot, Dremel 4000, can of black semigloss spray paint, and a rubber mallet. The only thing that took over 10 mins to do on it was waiting for the paint to dry lol.

I would imagine tin snips and sandpaper would work as well

Good idea thanks for the suggestion. I've never done any modding for my rig before. This is the kind of thing that's cheaper and easy to do yourself anyway, but I feel like someone could sell these. I know cases are all different so that is something but it just looks so damn good to have a cover down there.
