The Cooler Master Storm Enforcer Club - Page 148

You are correct sir. I moved the radiator two "rows" towards the left side panel and mounted it through the grating or whatever the hell you want to call it. I can't see the pic on my cell very well either. I was poking around in here to see if anyone else had mounted a 240 rad in the top of the Storm Enforcer and found that most had either suggested cutting the grating altogether or mounted it slightly tilted down and to the right using the center mounting points of the radiator in the original fan mount holes. I didn't care for the look of either but like an idiot I had not read the specs of the radiator being so thick...much like myself rolleyes.gif and had already bought the unit. So it was either tinker with it or take it back. I don't like to be defeated so I messed with it until I came up with a nice clean mount with no tilt or cutting involved thumb.gif

Ok so I measured from the top of the mobo to the little indent where the radiator goes and its ~4 4/10 cm and that would be placing it to where it woud be in contact with it so is that enough room?

I'm not sure of the exact measurements of your mobo but for reference I have a Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 and the radiator does not come into contact with the I/O panel at all. You'll have to measure out the exact dimensions of your particular board and size it up to the radiator dimensions to be sure. I was able to fit it and the two included 120mm x 25mm fans mounted up without incident. By using the two center radiator mounting holes fitted through the grating like I did it also scoots the radiator towards the front panel of the case ever so slightly gaining clearance of the two rear USB 3.0 ports on my I/O panel. I don't want to give you the all clear and then have you run into a snag. Remember measure twice and cut once. Hope this helps...

Hell yeah man! Just make sure you post up the pic in here when you get it mounted. I just ordered 2 Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition fans to mount in lieu of the white finned fans that come with the Thermaltake:

Fits my red and black theme better. I also got off my lazy duff and ordered the Yate Loon Slim fan for the rear 120 mount so that I'd have an intake for the radiator air feed. Added a slim profile dust filter to it as well

Wednesday or Thursday should be a nice little mini Christmas thumbsupsmiley.png

Ill make sure that I do but im a high school student and I dont even have a dedicated gpu in my rig yet some that will be upgrade #2 for this summer so it will be a while. My dad still thinks im crazy for putting liquid insude a computer which actually reminds me if I get some clear tubes and some other coolant is it possible to switch those out?

Hah I get the same odd looks from my girl when I work on my rig. She has no clue what the attraction is to this computer box. As to the clear tubes and coolant I would assume a water pump is a water pump and a CPU block is the same thing by any other name. I wouldn't see why you couldn't switch out the coolant and tubing. The only thing you'd have to make sure of is the size of the fittings that run between the CPU block and radiator. The water cooling unit I have is what's known as a AIO (all-in-one) basically meaning a closed loop between the block and the rad. If you were to open that you'd have to clean it regularly and make sure that you leak test it. Most of this stuff I'm just picking up from reading the watercooling club's posts. I wouldn't say that I know a ton about this stuff but I have a pretty general understanding of how the systems work. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I'll help the best I can!
