Mobo - Asrock Z77 Extreme 4

ye i put 4 pin cable into Cpu Fan 1, and pump cable to Cpu pwr, i use only cougar fan

i dont have time to test temps ( 34C while i was instaling programs etc... ), soon i will upload some photos of my new build smile.gif

Cougar fan is a bit noise, idk it will change speed or alway work on max ?

Since you have it in the 4 pin CPU fan header it should vary with CPU temperature.

Only if he goes into the bios and sets it to run that way.

With my asrock board, the 4 Pin CPU is set to 100% max all the time, you have to go into the fan control in the bios and set the maximum temp you want your processor to run at, and minimum fan speed.

ie. You can set your minimum fan speed to 1 out of 10 and set your max temp to 50 Celcius, this means that the fans will only ramp up once your processor hits 50 C.

Hello everybody!

I am the proud owner of a Coolermaster Storm Enforcer rig. I will most likely post pictures as soon as I fix up some cable clutter going on in the case. I was looking into water cooling (Corsair H60 most likely) and I have a few questions. From what I've seen, these things don't need thermal paste? There's nothing about thermal paste in the manual and not in Corsair's how-to on the cooler either.
I've currently got two 120's running as exhausts in the top spots, so I am also wondering if the best position for the radiator would be with the pre-installed exhaust fan pulling air in onto the radiator (like they show in their video).
Another issue is that apparently Hydro coolers are notorious for noise issues, but that can be fixed by plugging things in to different sockets. Where does the radiator plug in and where does the fan plug in? (I don't actually own one, just don't want to buy one if it's going to be a pain in the ass)

I've been using h60 for almost a month, upgradeit from v6 gt. the h60 already has thermal sticking on it so you dont have to apply another one. Ive installed the H60 with a pull fan at first but i've changed it to push/pull after a couple of hours reading on the web. Im not sure which one is better push or pull but why not try to do both?tongue.gif
What i do is I use the front 200 fan and ive installed another 120 fan under the dvd rw to get air into the case and the rest of the fan ( I use 200 fan for the top and push/pull for the h60 radiator) to get the air out of the system. So far I am very satisfied with the temp
Not sure about the noise but ive been having no problem with noise. I use all Cooler master fan fyi (2 x sickle flow for the radiator and 1 extraflo for the one under the dvd rw)

You can check out my rig pic on the link below

Hi, I'm about to purchase a storm enforcer and I was wondering if..

1. Can you fit a Haf 912 side panel on the enforcer? Love the larger window and option to install a fan on it.

2. The only thing thats making me think twice about this case is for cable management. Does the other side have very little room making it hard to fit cables in? Or hard to do good cable management.

3. Are there any easy mods I can do to add rubber grommets to the cut outs for the cable? Or anywhere I can purchase grommets to put it in?

4. Any mods to make the legs of the case stand higher off the ground? Or legs I can purchase?

5.Can I fit a 230mm Bitfenix Spectra Pro fan on the top of the case? The front too?

6. Does installing an additional (not sure what size) fan to the front of the case (where the DVD drive bays are) help bring down temps, while still keeping the door on.

7. How do you remove the fan filters for cleaning? Or they are not removable? And if not, what fan filters can I get that will fit the filters on the case? Would love it if it's easy to clean out the dust on the filters.

Thanks so much in advance for the help.

2. The only thing thats making me think twice about this case is for cable management. Does the other side have very little room making it hard to fit cables in? Or hard to do good cable management. It has plenty of room for cable management, go through this thread and look at some of the rigs
3. Are there any easy mods I can do to add rubber grommets to the cut outs for the cable? Or anywhere I can purchase grommets to put it in? Never seen it
4. Any mods to make the legs of the case stand higher off the ground? Or legs I can purchase? A simple google search of "PC Feet" will yield you a world of options
5.Can I fit a 230mm Bitfenix Spectra Pro fan on the top of the case? The front too? No, No
6. Does installing an additional (not sure what size) fan to the front of the case (where the DVD drive bays are) help bring down temps, while still keeping the door on. Repeat this question to yourself and the answer shall come to you, common sense might play a factor

You remove them. Yes they are removable. none. Filters are garbage

A simple search through this thread would have yielded you answers to most of these questions. Please take the time to go through the thread as the rest of us have.

When you remove the filter on the front, just be careful as it doesn't have a plastic frame to stop it from unraveling every time you remove it.

Concerning the fan behind the 5.25" bays, keeping the door will block almost all the air, but a small amount should still enter as the door doesn't create an airtight seal. The filters in the bays also don't gather as much dust so they need less cleaning even with a fan.

The 200mm Bitfenix will fit with a little modding. I like it a lot better than other 200mm fans I have tried so worth it for me. smile.gif

it will not fit in the top, it will fit in the front with some minor modding. Cutting off the black clips and the bottom of the front panel, This does make the front panel slightly looser at the bottom but it does not make it weak. I have moved it around alot and as long as you do not try to carry the case by the front panel you should be fine.
