How to make 1866 ram work on Asus p8p67

Thread Starter
Hi, my mobo is failed to boot with 2x4GB 1866 installed, I took one out and it boot up just ok as 1600. I not sure this is my mobo problem or I need overlock the ram in order to make it work, look like only one slot of 4 slots in my mother board work with this ram, I switch the slot and it unable to boot.
I went to the bios and set the ram to 1866 then restart the system telling me overlock failed.. what should I do now?

Thanks for reading.

1.First check to see if you ram is in the qualified list .
I had this issue with my ADATA 2000 ram in which only one stick would boot since it wasn't on the compatible list, and dual channel didn't work with the sticks

2. increase VCCIO voltage to 1.15v . For over 1600 mhz usually there is a need for a Voltage bump in VCCIO.

Click exit/advanced mode and I believe the RAM settings are on the first page. It's pretty simple, just put the RAM voltage at 1.5v and the timings to 9-10-9-28. Your board may be reading them wrong and setting them too tight.

This ram is giving problem to another user. I wonder why ppl dont check compatibility BEFORE buying ram/mobo. The Ripjaws X 1866 CL9 that are compatibile with P67 mobos are about the same price.

Right, except for the fact that the [SNIPER] F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR are listed as compatible with the ASUS P8P67 chipset.
