Spyder3Pro user/borrow list and discussion.

Thread Starter

I have purchased a Spyder3 Pro and would like to make it available to our community here. Post here if you would like to be added to the list.

The requirements are you have 100+ REP, 1000+ posts, and have been a member for 1+ years. If you meet these parameters please post with your name and I will add you to the list.

We will pay our own shipping and a $5 fee to me for the use of it until 30 members have completed using it. At that point it will be only shipping to any members who meet the above requirements.

Google Spreadsheet

If we reach the end of the list and no one else has signed up, I will pay to have it shipped to me from the last user, and hold it until another member would like to use it.

I would be game. I don't think it would be paid off in 1 or 2 dollar increments, but I'd think $5 would work. Not sure what model you are looking at, but that should be no more than 20 people to pay it off. Not a bad idea.

I'd be down for that, I can never get my monitor's calibration to be quite right.

EDIT: Also, when I read the title, I thought you meant the car, I was slightly befuddled.

I've never heard of this, but would be interested. So is this something that would work on TV's and monitors? What about size??

I have my sig monitor and a 60" Sharp Aqous 120Hz LCD.

I don't know how it would work with a TV. Monitors of course.

It's LCD... so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Edit: OK I picked one up. During the next few weeks a small focus group will test this out with me. If you have 100+ REP, 1000+ posts, and have been a member for 1+ years please post with your name and I will add you to a list.

At this point we will pay our own shipping and $5 to me every time it jumps. 30 jumps and then we can remove the $5 donation and it will be paid for and will be just shipping from those who qualify and want to use it.

Add me to the list. I don't quite have the rep and time qualifications but as proof I'm not into financial shenanigans I gave Chunky Chimp a DirectCU 460 I used for a month while waiting for the Calibre 480's to be released. I think he sold it to put $ towards his U2410. Damn fine display. I'll even cover sending it to him to calibrate it.

Hey! Ummm...since i recommended it to you and helped out in the original thread do you think you could let me get in on this? I'm sure i'll meet the requirements soon, bu if you could let me now I would highly appreciate it.

Maybe there could be an exception for members who don't meet the requirements with a deposit, and when you are finished using it and the next member confirms that they have it, I refund your deposit.

Bottom line I would like to do something nice for people, but I can't just be out $150. It can't happen.
Ok then...i'll get get my stats up first or if the deposit is low enough i'll just pay that.
