Right, as a new folder I have some questions about the foldathon . . .

1. If my team is already set to OCN do any work units i complete go towards the foldathon in the 20 - 22 june period?

2.Who else is competing?, is it all of the f@h teams?

3.would my single GTX 570 be of use to the OCN team as I could run 24/7 for 2 days (but at stock at night)

thanks

(p.s. , zodac, who is in your avatar? )

1. Yes, if you are already folding for OCN no change needed just sign up in the OP.

2. Its just an internal OCN "fold on everything you've got" event.

3. YES! nvidia GPUs rock at folding. We'll take whatever you can give.

I got slightly higher than 15k on my 1055T on days when I was folding 24/7 without doing anything else. Effectively, expect anywhere from 13k to 17k, imo.

roughly somewhere around here...my computer has been converting a couple movies for me, so my PPD dropped a bit, but you get the idea

top one is a quad core @ 4 ghz doing a bigadv for 23,700 PPD

and my X6 usually gets 41-42,000 PPD

bigadv are bigger SMP units, designed to run in 8+ threads systems. Yes, they give a lot of points, but take much more time to complete than regular SMP units.
