Acer Aspire 5920G VS Dell Inspiron (i1546-2454JBK)

Fight! Finnish Him! No seriously witch one is more powerful? Let me start by saying we will soon have the Acer for sale at the shop i work at. It holds 45 minute charge when not gaming and has vista and 3 gb ram and 250gb hdd along with it's regular specs.

My guess is the Dell may be better but, probably doesn't have an upgradable MXM2 gfx card. Of course the dell being New Old Stock or a refurbish versus used.

The operating systems have no value to me as I have Microsoft Technet and will install Win7Ulty any ways. Oh and btw the boss wants the same price for the Acer as the Dell costs. So should i grab the Acer or is the dell my better bet for being more powerful?

My current laptop is this

click detailed specs. Good retro gaming machine but, i could use something more powerful for when i go on trips or lounge around.

You have to get those or something? I would go with the Dell, it also looks newer.

I Noticed they both have an HD4250 one with 1gb vs a 4330 512mbm the only reall difference i'm seeing is possibly the battery and the hard drive. Witch i would get one of these

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822152236

The CPUs are probably a little newer but still on the same level as the Dell I linked, i'm guessing.

EDIT: one is an LED screen that can be a negative if the driver is on the mother board it's kind of like the inverter for it and when it goes bad you need a whole new mobo.

Edit: looks like the fastest the acer can have is a 128bit DDR2 HD4670

http://www.mxm-upgrade.com/Table.html

Not all that marginally faster for the price it would cost (over 600usd with hdd, ram and mxm) upgrade. Looks like after making this thread the Dell is looking better and better.
