Nope the rat 9 is wireless the rat 7 and under is wired.

Rat series isn't bad at all i just got mine a few days ago which i got pretty much for 1$ sense i used a free dell coupon i got from dell and i wanted too give a rat mouse a try.

Which i got the rat 7 which is a rat 9 except wired and so far im liking it and it fits my hand nice, It does have the twin eye laser tho but when its on a hard mouse pad it works pretty decent.

And yes i have tons of mouses starting with Microsoft 1.1 and wheel mouse, And also got a puretrak on preordred hehe.

I also have the g700 which i use with my laptop on the go and its a great mouse, Great build quality and nice feel and the avego sensor which it does beat the twin eye laser, But there's nothing wrong with the rat series aslong as you use the right mouse pad been using it on my rocketfish mouse pad and it works great with it.

But ya too me i say the g700 is the best wireless mouse out right now. And can usely get it for cheap.

I don't understand why every person that owns a mamba complains so damn much. I have had my mamba for an year now and not a single freaking problem. The mouse is solid, responsive and very versatile when it comes to switching it from wireless to wired and vice versa. I have not seen a single good review on the mamba which leads me to believe the majority of you guys just plain abuse your equipment.

No. There is the 7 that is wired and the 9 that is wireless. Exactly the same besides that though.

Was able to set the two forward and backward buttons up to be a rapid fire. Repeat 100 times of a mouse click or just repeat while held down macro.

I keep reaching for a rat when I'm at the local comp. Store but I just can't seem to get it from the shelf into my basket? I've always loved logitech (fanboy) g700 is nice I like it way better than my deathaddler all the buttons feel solid I keep waiting to feel the left button wear out but it's still going strong after about 8months. On a side note the original aa rechargeable batt sucked from day one but can be replaced with any off the shelf aa
