Help on pen tablet choice

Thread Starter
so im on a tight budget right now, cant really go over 100ish bucks.

so ive narrowed my choice down to these two:

wacom: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-057-_-Product

genius: http://www.geniuseshop.com/p-10552-9...ns-G-Pen-M609X

on paper though, the genius one has a higher resolution at 4000lpi and data rate at 200pps (the wacom has 2540lpi and 133pps) plus the genius m609x is bigger as well.

what do you guys think? which one would be the better choice?

im gonna be using this mostly for drawing btw.

Personally, I would go with the genius one for the extra size alone. I find that drawing on small tablets is incredibly difficult.
However, have you considered picking up a second hand Intuos2 or Intuos3? Wacom tablets haven't changed much since their inception and there is still fantastic driver support on these old models. I've been rocking an Intuos2 12x9 for several years now and loving it! Genius tablets feel junky in comparison to anything from the Intuos line.

I personally have the wacom tablet that you have linked and I love it. It is compact and easy to use although what chasent said about a small tablet being difficult to work with is true.

No I have not experienced any lag with it. It picks up movement very well and is nice and responsive.

^well i got the bamboo 4x6 anyway before you posted, and its amazing! sure its small compared to other tablets, but i make small strokes on paper anyway, so no problems at all. plus, the sheer thinness of the pen compared to the genius one makes it all worth it. touch feature is not so good tho. i hope they can refine it with future drivers if possible.
