Can nvidia cards do a 5x1 monitor setup?

I know that you can do it on a single 6990, but can you go it with three nvidia cards?

Not at the moment. The most powerful "single" Nvidia card, the GTX 590, can only power 3 displays at once.

(drool..) amd you crazy!

EDIT: imo just one huge screen w/o epic huge bezels is better for games, probably even more cost-effective too. wasn't multiple display's main idea to improve multitasking for work?

for gamming yes....

otherwise the GTX590 or 295GTX can both run 4 sceens...

but in truth.... i have a 3 screen setup with 3x 24" screens.... YOU DO NOT NEED ANY MORE THEN 3 screens!!!

IT IS SO OVERKILL!!!

plus... from what i have seen... you have to turn the graphics down along way if you want to run 5 screens of one ATI CARD!
