and im not sure about the graphics card, i was told that Ati are in the lead for graphics card at this time...

ive already bought a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB Overclocked graphics card that will do me until i can save up... but i dont want this to be my main graphics card.. what do you guys think is the best graphics card under $300?

thanks in advance

It says in (in your system specs) that you have a 560 Ti, not 550, and I hope that that is the case because the 550 Ti is one of the worst price/performance cards you can buy. :\\

Best GPU under $300: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-562-_-Product or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...60%20ti%20hawk

Good luck!

Well lets say the 550 just lacks horsepower and doesn't cut it if you're going to put it up against the likes of an i7-2600k You could even say your CPU will get bottlenecked!

Anyway, I would strongly recommend the GTX 570: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-075-_-Product

It's a little bit more than $300 ($315 to be exact) but you're definitely not going to regret getting this beast.

For this build i would recommend a 570 GTX like Darco19 but this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-564-_-Product i think it's worth every cent.

Now if you cant go more than 300$ take this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-569-_-Product and you can overlock it or no it's high clocked anyway .With this card you will have much better gaming experience than a 6950 which also costs less than 300$ .

Personally if you can go a little bit over 300 I would recommend the 6970. They are about equal in performance but if you ever decide to go multi monitor that the 6970 would be a good bet. But if you really like physx or 3d gaming I would have to say the 570 would be better.
But the 6970 does come with a free copy of dirt 3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-517-_-Product
319 after mail in rebate

For sub 300 I would have to agree that the 560 is a great bet.

ahh yea, i plan on having 2 1600x900s maybe but thats in the future. but yea im probably going to get the 6970 eventually. just havent got the mullah for it yet haha.

but ive decided on taking the 550 overclocked back and investing $30 Aud into getting a HIS Radeon HD6850 1GB edition. just until i can upgrade that.

thoughts?
