A quality 400w would be enough.

How many watts

GTX 460 TDP = 160W
i5 2500K TDP = 95W

About 25W for a traditional HDD as well. RAM and everything else is almost nil, so about 280W. Remember this is on the 12v rail. 280w equates to about 24A

You'll be fine with any good quality 450-550W powersupply if you don't plan on overclocking or going SLI. I'd recommend a good 600W PSU if you plan to upgrade later. Whatever you do, you do not want to skimp on a power supply.

Yeah 400w would be fine. Doesn't hurt to leave a little room though incase you want to upgrade graphics cards in the future. Something like a 600w will power any single GPU computer, and would power a 460 SLI setup.

Antec TP New 550W would be a good investment. That way you're in the clear for any updates you add to the system.

^^this should do it. I'm running my sig on a 650w gold

Try getting a gold or platinum rated PSU and you'll be fine with a 400w you could get a 550 if you're planning to throw in another GPU later on. Remember to take into account any HDD's SSD's etc.. sound cards or lighting what have you. You definitely want some Head room, it would suck to realise later on that you need a little extra

I have a question, since the good 500w PSUs in the store that build my computer are expensive (the only cheap one is a Mustiff 500Watt 120mm fan), i would like to know how hard is it to install a PSU?
