3x 800rpm Gentle Typhoons for MCR320?

Thread Starter
I am considering upgrading my case to something larger and in turn, getting a bigger radiator than my MCR220.

I am looking for appropriate fans to use for the radiator. I have 3x 800rpm Gentle Typhoons left over from a while ago. I know the MCR320 favors low-medium speed fans, but will these be enough? My aim is for a adequately quiet system, but not sacrificing too much in performance either.

If they are not going to cut it, what do you suggest will be best for noise to performance ratio? Blue LED choices are a plus too haha, but I'm not bent on it.

Thanks.

I would say try it out. If it's just your CPU in the loop then it should be OK. If the GTX285 is also in the loop then it should still be OK but your CPU temps might suffer a bit.

I would get at least the 1450 version... if it is too loud for you use a fan controller. If
you get the 800rpms and it isn't enough you are pretty much so out of luck.

He already has the GT 800s though so might as well try them.

Just like Big Elf said, simply try it. If your temperatures are higher than you would like get higher RPM fans. Look at this Skinnee Labs review.
