Finalizing my water build. Suggestions/Critisims needed.

Okay. Here is what I have:
XSPC Rasa rs360 Kit (on my CPU only)
DDC-1 from bmaverick
2 EK GTX 470 blocks

I plan on getting the XSPC res top for the DDC, assuming I'm right in thinking that's just the XSPC top with a res attached, performance wise. I'll need a 240 rad for the GTX's so I'm looking at the Black Ice GT stealth. It's a dual pass, so I'm assuming it will be enough.
Using Martin's calculator, it looks like I will get better temps ditching the 750 pump, and going with a single loop. As oppose to using the DDC/240GT/EK's in a separate GPU only loop.
I'm using ye ole' Antec 900 for this. Please stop laughing

TL;DR
Does the XSPC restop perform the same as the regular XSPC DDC top?
Will the Black Ice GT stealth 240 and rs360 handle my processor + GPU's?
Is there any read in that price range (~$50) that would do a better job?
Any random suggestions/ideas. I don't have a mega budget, unfortunately.
Edit: Any suggestion on straight line SLI fittings vs. just barbs and a short piece of hose?
Thanks in advance

Edit: I am fully aware of the problem with EK's blocks. Due to an assumption on my part, I have already bought them second hand, and am stuck with them. Thanks

If separate loops maybe the RS360 would be better suited to the 2 GTX's. Their combined heat output will be hotter than the PII 970. The 240 should be able to handle that.

Just keep in mind about the Nickel issues ek has been having

Yep, forgot to mention that. If I can mount the 240 uptop without much trouble, It'll go before the CPU. But if it's looking like a pain, it'll go before the GTX's.

If you're still comfortable buying those GPU blocks after clicking EK in my sig then more power to you. Just a heads up.

Good luck with the build.

I already bought'em. I ASSUMED the nickel was just a coating on the outside of the block for looks, but apparently on the ek's it's INSIDE the block, so now I guess I have to find someone to strip them for me. I don't care about looks, but I don't want that stuff in my pump. Bought 'em used, soooo, yeah. :l

You may be ok depending on how old they are. Given that the EK thing has just blown up recently, I assume it only affects its more recent batches.

He told me one was already chipping. I just assumed it was on the outside of the block.

If he has purchase details may be able to RMA it or it could just be the outside.

I don't really understand how anyone can make their purchase decisions without at least a quick few minutes of research. Beware EK threads are on practically every single enthusiast forum on the net, and you didn't think to enquire further when the seller exclaims they are "already chipping"; as if it's expected or normal? Nonetheless, I'm sorry you're in this situation. I hope you get it resolved one way or another.
