0x0124 CAN be with software/hardware clashes sometimes, I get it sometimes when messing around with memory files with CheatEngine and goofing up

Yeah, Punkbuster's new update freezes the computer if you have any GPU utility programs that probe certain GPU hardware addresses (such as voltage). As far as I know, the only people who can fix it is Even Balance themselves.

This is an issue with PB and GPU Tweaking programs like MSI Afterburner (or maybe only MSI Afterburner). I had EXACTLY the same issue, but with another PB based game. My system will randomly crash/hang up and on next login I will get report for BSOD 124. I did tons of tests and tweaking my OC settings and they were all STABLE, but I still had random system freeze @ some PB games.
At the end I did some google reasearch and it appeared that MSI Afterburner had some conflict with the latest PB updates which causes the 124 BSOD. Uninstalling MSI Afterburner fixed the probleme, I've been playing for 2 hours already without an issue tongue.gif

The latest beta of MSI Afterburner now has a "kernel driver" mode that works around the PB instability. Now you can play BC2 with MSI Afterburner open.

Thanks for the answer man, but I was using MSI Afterburner just cause I find it more attractive/better looking than CCC, so I wouldn't bother not using it at all.
It was just a pain in the ass to find out what was causing my system to crash after passing tons of stability tests biggrin.gif

Hey guys.

Well my pc is a: Amd Phenom II x6 1100-T Black Edition
16gb ram 1333

Amd Radeon HD 6850 1gb

I dont have BattleField or anything like that, that may use pb or something.

I have Guild Wars 2 and Allods ( the problem started much sooner then installing either.. so they are not the problem)

But i KEEP GETTING random freezes(not even mouse works i have to restart pc) and BSOD with 124 or even 7F at the end.

by: playing GW2 or any game.

By: simply talking to my GF using msn webcam

By: simply browsing things and goofing around internet.

Its not a virus or anything.

Had runned MEMTEST 86+ for about 17 HOURS with all my cards and NONE got problem

Also those are Kingston ram for my exact MOBO never had any problems my pc has 1 year now and its driving me crazy (having this like twice or maybe more on a bad day) DAILY getting this.

My mobo: ECS Elitegroup A885gm-a2.

What is curious is that at somedays it can even pass like 4 days without crashing or anything

Like 3 days ago, it did a BSOD i got pissed, opened up pc, and pulled out my radeon card, and putted into it again, now by screwing it hardly on the sockets and all ( was trying to see if it bad contact or something)

And it worked beautiful for 3 days... now it started again.

Please help me as i am on the brink of my sanity here.

Thx in advance i will post my DXDIAG and Also my memory dump from this day.

Thank you.

Dxdiag: DxDiag.txt 27k .txt file

Will post my memory dump from today as well.

090812-18361-01.zip 25k .zip file

I have installed BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH VIEWER program and this came up ( hope it helps to find the problem)

I have 2 prints.. 1 of yesterday and 1 of today.

And a file that i saved using the same program.

Here they are:

BSOD 1.jpg 342k .jpg file

BSOD 2.jpg 339k .jpg file

BSOD.txt 2k .txt file (this one was from today)

BSOD2.txt 2k .txt file (yesterday)

Hope it helps.
