Oracle VirtualBox, Raw disk, and adding PCI/-E hardware to guest.

Problem One:

I am a command line moron, I have a hell of a time with it. This is the command I am trying to use, to get a Raw disk access to one of my HDD's, so FreeNAS can use it.

Quote:
VBoxManage internalcommands createrawvmdk -filename /path/to/file.vmdk
-rawdisk \\PhysicalDrive2
How if you can't see the problem it's a,
Quote:
Syntax error: Mandatory parameter -rawdisk is missing
Help.

Problem Two:

Can you add hardware on the PCI, PCI-E bus? (Like my TV tuner, sec video card, NIC cards.) to a guest OS.

Thank you.

RE 1:
You appear to be missing part of the command
VBoxManage internalcommands createrawvmdk -filename /path/to/file.vmdk
-rawdisk /dev/sda -partitions 1,5 -relative -register

I think you have to use the dev name instead of a link for raw disks. \\PhysicalDrive2 I don't think will work. (check this... newer versions you can do this -rawdisk \\ \\ . \\PhysicalDrive0)

RE2:
I wish I knew for certain. I am more of an ESX guy myself. In ESX you can, but you have to make certain that VT-d is enabled in your bios for that to work.
