Hi all
i have recently read CSS the missing manual,
and i am getting pretty nifty with it
i use it for an assignment at college and next september i will be using javascript and PhP an SQL.
My teacher recomended Jqueary in action, but after i read the first few pages on amazon i was thinking that it expects i am quite well versed in javascript (which am not) so i was wondering if anyone has read JavaScript the missing manual ( i know second edition is out in september but thats when i need to know it for so ill purchase it later)
also while am here has anyone read head first: PhP & MySQL another book my teacher recomended as i need to know both for next year, if so what do you think is there any better books
Also i know there are plenty of free places to learn CSS, JavaScript so on but i find them mostly quite boring, an i quite enjoy reading books over pages from the internet
thankyou very much

jQuery is a set of open source libraries set upon the Javascript language. So yea if you don't know the basics of Javascript then a book on jQuery won't get you very far
