There you go,saved before XS 'cleansing'...
yeah and thats what he wrote on XS...

So u guys are crucifying him for doing a dirty man's test?

He said it at start, its a dirty man's test... and that is exactly what it was.

Yeah, its nothing like spending money, going to a lab, getting mass spec done.

But Kayin's test did prove something.

Its not 100% electo copper and he has no clue what it is...
Nor did he say what it is... he is predicting what it could be, but the only thing he has said is, its not 100% electro copper.

Wait. What aexactly are you trying to argue? First, you question people for question Kayin's pseudo-scientific knowledge and work. Then you bash EK for what you compare them doing the same thing?

Listen, Kayin isn't a scientist and doesn't know what he's talking about. I want cold, hard, official data. I also want EK to fess up about what the REAL issue here is (and really, silver coils and PTNuke are NOT the issue).

lol...

ok my final comments.

Everything but gold will corrode with the stuff we use in our loops.

Nothing is immune except gold.
Straight up Gold has been used for ages to fight corrosion.

The corrosion index that happens with silver and any other metal in the loop is so small, that u wont see it within your parts lifetime.

What that means, in a controlled enviorment... ie.. closed loop, the rate of corrosion is controlled to minute levels unless there is a flaw with materials.

Anyone that tells u no corrosion occures is only telling u half the story.

The key thing is to make your parts last longer then its life time, b4 u see noticeable wear.

If you do the proper loops, use the proper parts, and stay with the proper guides, then u wont see corrosion in any degree which these pictures represents.

If u have impurities, or something is seriously wacked in the chemistry of your lc system.... well, i can think of several watercooling gods to pray to, but none of them will answer you back.

My PC statement to this thread.. :T

The only problem with Kayin's statements were saying "this is" or "they are" instead of "should" or "may be".

Then why in EK statement said "EK would only accept rma until july 31". If they still don't know the whole story?

Even then they only pulled the blocks in question after the statment failed badley.

They should have never said anything until they had all the facts and could prove it 100%. Imho they try to pull blanket over the fire and it just went up in flames.

I feel sorry for the people who has money invested in to EK NK water blocks.

I'm not sure what you are referring to. Is it the silver coin in water thing?
1) Silver coil in acrylic tank with distilled water
2) Silver coin in copper/tin/leather/well/whatever tank with natures own water containing dissolved salts and minerals

A claim valid for 2 is not necessarly valid for 1. There is a reason I wrote "distilled water" and not just "water" in my first post.

I know, that's why I in my first post wrote "However, in a closed loop watercooling circuit with copper, brass, nickel, solder, flux-remains (radiator) etc the water will not stay pure for very long."

What I wrote in the post you are referring to was "It all depends on the coolant and what other materials you have in the loop." The coolant properties have most likely changed from day 1 to day 100, but it still depend on the coolant.
