FT02 AP181 - how to clean the fan blades?

Thread Starter
I just checked and boy are they caked with dust after 2 months even with the filter!
The thing is, the AP guards are integrated to the fans! How do i reach the blades without removing the fans? I am not even sure how to remove the fans from the casing! Help!

I simply use an air compressor and blow out the fans. That removes almost every bit of dust. I suppose you could clean them from the intake side with some swabs, but I doubt it would be worth it.

Tip: Unplug the fans from your motherboard before using air to clean them. When you spin them up, they turn into generators. It's unlikely they'd damage anything, but it's better to be safe.
