Problem with 4G USB Modem!!!

Thread Starter
So im at my grandmothers house right now and she has the Verizon Pantech UML290 4G USB Modem. I realized that she actually was not using the USB modem but she was connected to my moms router. (Lives almost right next to my grandmother) I was lookin around in the networks to see if I could connect to the 4G USB Device instead of connecting to my mother router. For some reason the computer will not detect that the USB Modem is plugged in. It was just working a little while ago and I didn't change anything in the network connections. I put in the CD that came with the modem to install the software because I noticedthat the computer is not recognizing that it was plugged in. I went onto the Verzion Wireless page to download drivers but the only drivers they have are the ones for the actual program. When I open the program to configure the USB modem, it cannot detect that its plugged in. I tried all 3 usb ports on the laptop as well. What is the problem??

Bump, I know your not supposed to do 15 minute bumps but I need this fixed for my grandmother.

It normally detects the dongle as a cd. What is make and model of it? Is it a Huwei? Use one of the back ports they normally come with a Usb cable that needs 2 ports.
