Okay. I think that I will go with the G700. Hopefully Fry's will still have some in stock. Thanks for the help.

I picked one up over the weekend from Frys ($20 rebate right now), it was the perfect replacement for my old MX-518. Super comfortable and the extra buttons are very well placed. Can't recommend it high enough.

I am not sure about the battery life though, I use it as a corded mouse.

I've had much better battery life than I expected from this mouse. In max gaming mode (1000Mhz polling + w/e max gaming mode does) I went a good 8 hours of use and it was still running strong. AS was previously mentioned, you can also get eneloop rechargeables very cheaply if you don't want to bother using it wired very often.

I recommend the G500 over the G700. I can't deal with wireless mice anymore. G500 is constantly on sale at newegg, I recommend giving it a week, two at the most, and you'll see it drop down to a killer price. I picked mine up for 44.99 with a $20 rebate - actually bought two of them for PCs at my workplace because it was such a good deal at the time.

The G700 ergonomics is bad. It caused severe pain in my wrist and hand. It wasn't noticeable right away either, but slow and gradual.

Depends on the person too, I had mine for months and still use it as my mobile mouse and its conformable for me.

Ony reason why im not using as my main mouse is i found a mouse that i love which is the cm spawn, Fits my hand like a glove and performance is great.

But ya i would vote for the g700 over g500.
