Quick question about 7/16x5/8 on compression fittings

Thread Starter
Can this tubing be used with the 1/2x5/8 compression fittings? I don't want to order and then find out it wont work.

Thanks!

My understanding is that compression fittings are designed for an exact ID and OD. I'm sure others with direct experience will chime in.

You must match the ID"&OD" of the tubing with the ID"xOD" of your compression fittings.

That will fit just fine.. The outer diameter is the same size, and the 7/16" over the 1/2" barb will give it a nice tight fit.

Though then it may make it too wide when stretched over the top....

It would be tight, but with compression fittings you should match the tubing size with the fitting size.
