I honestly don't know why you quoted me and replied the way you did. Yes, we know the 840 is a Propus chip, which I affirmed when I said "it is an athlon".

BTW, mine is stable at 3.82GHz.

OP, the limit of the chip would be around that on air-cooling. LLC is auto-enabled which gives me 1.525Vcore idle and 1.55Vcore on P95 load. 24hour stable.

CPU/NB voltage was not changed (1.175V), though it is close to 2.4GHz. My RAM running at 1.6V. Hope this helps. Yea, these chips OC like dog-doo-doo.

sorry was on auto pilot multitasking between xbox 360 and typing i meant to tell the op that its a athlon in disguise and not to expect as-much as normal phenom chips
but it came out wrong

Basically you want to get a PSU with a Single Rail and 35+ amps.

OP, if you going to spend your money then get something that you won't have to replace for a while....

Something like THIS Seasonic Gold Series!

And by the way, it's safer to go with a good multi-rail... Single Rail large amp nec. is Just a myth.... Look it up!
Althought they both work fine depending on the circumstances....

To answer your PM, my VDDCPU & VDDNB settings are set to auto. And regarding vCore, the voltages i gave you above are what CPU-Z and HWmonitor are showing me. What I have set in BIOS is going to be different from what you will have to set because of various factors such as Vdrop, Vdroop, LLC, and the actual chip limitations (some 840s are just better than others).
