Can my dlink Dir-855 be modded for signal increase?

Are there hardware or software mods out there for my router, a dlink dir-855, to increase the signal? The signal seems to be weak on it and it's a dual band router. Costed me a fair amount of money to.

Any good websites with mods or ideas of how to boost throughput, etc. of the router?

Thanks!

Dd-wrt allows you to boost the signal strength of the router

NVM. Its not supported. Maybe some stronger antennas.

Or maybe you can return the router for a dd-wrt compatible one redface.gif

Yeah, I was thinking of opening it up and modding it somehow. Maybe figuring out how to feed for juice to the antennas to amplify them. I can't find after market antenna's for this router as it's dual band (2.4ghz and 5ghz). The power is set to high and I have the channel's set correctly and whatnot. Also, it needs to go throughout my whole house, it's on the 2nd story. I just want a strong signal throughout the house.

Any idea's of mod's to the router hardware internally I could do?
