The only problem with gloves and LN2 is that if you get splashed, then the gloves will actually hold the LN2 against your skin and burn you worse than if you weren't wearing any gloves.

This ^!!
I had some of the rubberized gloves I was using to hold the cold hose, but the rubber coating was cracking over the knuckles & when ln2 blasted up out of the thermos I was filling it got on the glove & got the material wet, burns like fire, couldn't get the glove off fast enough.
Now I use a kitchen potholder for the hose, anything happens I just have to let go.

i just pour.... if it hits the top of my hand it rolls off, no harm done.
actually last time i had some ln2 i was in flip flops and no gloves...
and with Dice, i smash it with a hammer and grab it bare handed, only burns if your stupid enough to hold it in your hand awhile or squeeze it.

the gloves i have arn't like that, they are aired out, like cotton gloves. They are used for high heat/cold environments. Its just too cold for me to handle my ghetto pourer without gloves, if i could i would.

I found that similarly at the OCF benching party in Philly (my first encounter with LN2 as I had used DICE up til that point). I use the top of a thermos or a medicine bottle to scoop dice for the pot.
