What he said, your taking a gamble that it will unlock at all let alone how it will perform once unlocked. Some are locked for a real reason..such as a poor performing core. But if you feel lucky then I guess pick the one that ends up the fastest chip in the end.

Yet, the Phenom II chips will overclock higher by default, be easier to overclock, and have a good 90% chance to unlock.

Go with the Phenom II 555.
