Copper looks golden-brown, just like a US penny.

Nickel looks silver.

Ek is having quality issues with their nickel plating. As AMC said, you have nothing to worry about.

hmm, after a little bit research, i realized that "gold plated" is not real gold. the gold is just the color, not the materiel.

well it may be cheap 10K gold in a super thin layer on the outside just for looks
